Meet Our Founder
Shelia is a Registered Nurse with over 36 years of dedicated healthcare experience , with a strong emphasis on women’s health. She began her career in 1989 at Mount Sinai Medical Center , working in Internal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 2000, Shelia joined the Cleveland
Clinic Foundation, where she specialized in maternity care and served as floor and charge nurse focusing on labor and delivery , Mother/baby and pediatric care.
In 2020, Shelia joined Safe Harbor Home Health Care as the Director of Health and Wellness. With her extensive experience, Shelia found this role incredibly rewarding. She oversaw medication certification classes, playing a pivotal role in advocating and collaborating closely with physician
and families across Ohio, promoting health education and compliance for employees, families, and clients. Her efforts were aimed at enhancing the overall experience for both staff and clients.
Under the mentorship of Safe Harbor’s owner Carlos Johnson, who guided her as she prepared to transition into her own venture. In 2025, Shelia embarked on a new chapter as the CEO and founder of Nurturing Hearts Home Healthcare . Under her leadership, Nuturing Hearts is committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered, home-based care, ensuring every client receives the highest standard of compassionate service.
She is also grateful for the ongoing support and mentorship from Carshawn Johnson, whose guidance continues to strengthen her commitment to delivering exceptional care to individuals and families across Ohio.
